WHAT A TRIP LOOKS LIKE

5 ROUNDS
DAY 1

Arrive & Settle In

Drive up Thursday afternoon, check into your cottage block at Muskoka Bay Resort, and do a casual dinner in town to let everyone arrive at their own pace. No golf today — use the evening to settle bets and set the format.

DAY 2

Muskoka Bay Resort

Start with the course that's right under your feet — Muskoka Bay's fairways drop through granite ravines and frame views that make bad shots more tolerable than they have any right to be. It's a Doug Carrick design with a genuine Top 10 Canada reputation.

DAY 3

Deerhurst Highlands

Robert Cupp's hilly, tree-lined track at Deerhurst plays differently depending on how far you are in the rotation — early morning tee times have mist on the fairways that makes the already-scenic course feel almost fictional. Spend the afternoon on the lake.

DAY 4

The Rock

Nick Faldo's $6M renovation brought The Rock firmly into Top 100 territory — the exposed granite ledges and elevated tee boxes give it a character no other Muskoka course can match. This is the round your group will still be talking about in December.

DAY 5

Free Day — Muskoka

Take a half-day to actually be in cottage country: rent a pontoon boat, visit Dorset for a pie, or do a second round at Deerhurst on a more relaxed format. Dinner at a local spot on the lake in the evening.

DAY 6

Closing Round & Depart

A final morning round — either a rematch at Muskoka Bay or an early tee at one of the area's shorter public tracks — before the drive south. Groups that leave by noon miss the worst of the Sunday cottage traffic.

GROUPS 12+ — Split your accommodation into two blocks at adjacent properties (e.g. Muskoka Bay Resort + a private cottage rental on the lake) so a group of 16–20 has common spaces in the evenings without everyone packed into hotel rooms. Muskoka Bay can coordinate the cottage referral.
