WHAT A TRIP LOOKS LIKE

5 ROUNDS
DAY 1

Fly In & Settle

Evening arrival in Inverness — check in, a walk along the beach at low tide, and dinner at The Cabot Club. The resort staff know what golfers need the night before Cliffs and Links: a good meal, no pressure, and an early lights-out.

DAY 2

Cabot Links

Start with Links — it's the gentler introduction to Cabot golf even though the wind will humble anyone who thinks otherwise. Rod Whitman's routing runs through Inverness village and along the Gulf of St. Lawrence in a way that constantly reminds you where you are. Your caddie will be indispensable on the greens.

DAY 3

Cabot Cliffs

Cliffs day — make no morning plans, let the round breathe, and do not rush 18. Coore & Crenshaw's clifftop sequences on the front nine are best experienced slowly, with a caddie pointing out the line, and the last four holes are among the finest finishing stretches in North American golf. Evening: a proper group dinner at the resort.

DAY 4

Free Day — Cape Breton

Take a full day off the course and drive the Cabot Trail — the circuit around Cape Breton Highlands National Park is one of Canada's great road trips. Stop at the look-off above Pleasant Bay, do a short Skyline Trail hike, and have a seafood dinner in Cheticamp.

DAY 5

Cabot Highlands

Cabot Highlands' heathland terrain and forested corridors play completely differently from Links and Cliffs — Rod Whitman's inland routing is strategic and quiet, a good change of pace for the group's fourth round. The caddie program at Highlands is newer but equally strong.

DAY 6

Cabot Links Rematch

A second loop on Cabot Links with a proper format in play — everyone knows the course well enough now that a competitive round is genuinely exciting. Wind direction will have changed at least twice since round one.

DAY 7

Fly Home

Morning departure through Sydney. A week at Cabot is the kind of trip people start planning a return visit on the drive to the airport.

GROUPS 12+ — Cabot offers group packages with preferred accommodation blocks and coordinated caddie scheduling — reach out to resort management 14+ months ahead for summer groups of 12+. The caddie master will confirm your caddie count only after accommodation is confirmed; do both in a single call.
