WHAT A TRIP LOOKS LIKE
Arrive & Village Night
Arrive Thursday, take the village at face value — there are a dozen solid restaurants within walking distance of the resort. The Blue Mountain pedestrian village is genuinely one of the better places to spend an evening that isn't about golf.
Cobble Beach Golf Links
Doug Carrick's links layout on Georgian Bay is the anchor round for any Blue Mountains trip — the wind off the Bay makes every club decision feel meaningful, and the closing stretch along the water is as dramatic as anything in Southern Ontario. Book the early wave and let the wind die a bit.
Lora Bay Golf Club
Thomas McBroom and Tom Lehman co-designed Lora Bay's parkland layout along the Georgian Bay shoreline — the Lehman influence shows in the thoughtful routing that keeps views constant without sacrificing course quality. Afternoon on the Bay or in the village.
Monterra Golf
Monterra plays through rolling Georgian Peaks terrain with the ski mountain as a constant backdrop — a shorter, more forgiving track that suits a mid-trip round when legs are getting tired. The resort's outdoor pool and patio are the right reward for a hot August round.
Cobble Beach Rematch
Going back to Cobble Beach on a different day almost always produces a different scorecard — the wind direction changes the character of at least six holes. This is the final day's round if anyone wants to settle business from round one.
Depart
Morning hike on the Bruce Trail above the escarpment or a relaxed late breakfast at the resort before the drive home.
GROUPS 12+ — Blue Mountain Resort's Mosaic hotel and the Village residential units combined can accommodate groups of 20+ under one property umbrella — ask the resort's group coordinator about block rates that include ski-season-style amenity access (pools, activity centre) during summer months.
