WHAT A TRIP LOOKS LIKE
Arrive Los Cabos
Five hours from Toronto, landing at the tip of the Baja Peninsula where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. The light here is different from any other golf destination on this list — amber and dramatic all day. Check in, get to the pool, organize the format.
Cabo del Sol (Ocean Course)
The Jack Nicklaus Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol built Cabo's golf reputation — seven finishing holes along the Sea of Cortez, with the ocean visible on every approach from the 12th through the 18th. An opener that sets expectations high for the rest of the trip.
Quivira Golf Club
The trip's centrepiece round. Quivira is a Top 100 in the World course by Nicklaus — part desert canyon, part Pacific cliffside, with no two consecutive holes playing in the same direction. The 15th tee, perched above the Pacific, is the best single tee shot view in Mexican golf.
Cabo San Lucas Day
A day off the course and fully in Cabo: whale watch in the bay (December–April), lunch at Edith's for Mexican classics, glass-bottom boat to the arch at Land's End, and a night out in Cabo San Lucas. One genuinely unscheduled day makes the golf better.
Quivira — Replay
Quivira's second round is the format day. Everyone has a club and a strategy for the canyon holes; the back nine becomes a genuine competition rather than a sightseeing tour. Run singles or better ball and post the scores at the clubhouse bar overlooking the Pacific.
Morning Nine & Depart
Day 6 sunrise nine at Cabo del Sol's Desert Course (a Dye design — different character, more inland) or a full resort beach day. Day 7 depart — direct Air Canada to Toronto Pearson.
GROUPS 12+ — Los Cabos is one of the easiest Mexican golf destinations to organize for Canadian groups — direct flights from Toronto, USD resort pricing, and two world-class courses within 30 minutes of each other. For 12+, the private villa options in the corridor (between San José and Cabo) give the group its own compound with a kitchen and pool, reducing F&B costs significantly on a 6-night stay.
