WHAT A TRIP LOOKS LIKE
Arrive & Settle
Fly into Savannah or Hilton Head Island Airport (direct from Charlotte and some US hubs) and spend the evening on the beach or in Harbour Town's marina — the resort atmosphere alone is worth a night before golf starts.
Harbour Town Golf Links
The RBC Heritage venue is the centrepiece of any Hilton Head trip. Pete Dye's layout is narrow by modern standards — fairways barely wider than a cart path in spots — and the small, crowned greens protect par aggressively. Walk the 18th and sign the scorecard at the Lighthouse.
Palmetto Dunes (Arthur Hills) & Coligny Beach
Palmetto Dunes' Arthur Hills layout plays through a more open coastal setting than Harbour Town, with water holes and ocean breezes from the Atlantic. Afternoon free for Coligny Beach, which has public parking, food trucks, and a beach bar atmosphere that most Canadian groups enjoy more than they expect.
Day Trip — Savannah
No golf today. Drive 45 minutes to downtown Savannah — the waterfront, the historic squares, Leopold's Ice Cream, and a late lunch at The Grey or Dub's on the River. Savannah is genuinely one of the great American cities and it's sitting right there.
Back Nine at Sea Pines & Sunset Marina
A final 9-hole morning loop on one of Sea Pines' shorter courses (or a re-round at Harbour Town if the budget allows), followed by an afternoon on the water. Sunset drinks at The Salty Dog Café on South Beach cap the trip perfectly.
Depart
Morning checkout, coffee in Harbour Town, then a drive to Savannah or Hilton Head Airport depending on your routing. Most Toronto groups connect through Charlotte.
GROUPS 12+ — Hilton Head handles large golf groups well — Sea Pines has a dedicated group concierge and can bundle accommodation, tee times, and dining reservations into a single package contract. Require a charter bus between the villa and Harbour Town rather than individual carts to keep the group together and on time.
